11 Oct, 2017

LPW Technology Ltd, the market leader in the development, processing and supply of high quality metal powders and software solutions for the Additive Manufacturing (AM) industry, has again achieved certification to ISO 13485 standard for medical devices at its UK facility.

Successful certification to this standard requires the due diligence of everyone in the organisation to complete their roles to the highest of values, following the requirements of ISO 13485, and LPW’s procedures and systems.  LPW achieved the standard with no critical, major or minor non-conformances.

Dr Phil Carroll, Founder and CEO of LPW, comments, “Achieving ISO 13485 demonstrates our commitment to delivering only the highest levels of quality assurance to the safety-critical sectors we serve.  The providers of the life-changing bone and joint restoration products that we work with can have full confidence that our quality management systems ensure we operate to the most stringent of protocols.

“Everything we do at LPW is founded on quality.  From experienced engineer to apprentice, every one of the LPW team implements the quality processes that assure the integrity of the tightly controlled metal powder we develop and supply from our facilities.”

LPW is also certified to ISO 9001, AS 9120A for aerospace, and AS 9100C quality standards.  For more information on LPW’s extensive range of metal powders.
